DIY Floral Letters

When I had my first daughter, we all shared a small room so I never got a chance to make her a gorgeous nursery.

So, when we bought our new home right before we had my youngest, it was on. I spent countless hours figuring out exactly how I wanted the room to look.

One of the things I’d always had on my mood boards was a floral design aspect, whether that be a floral wall (not happening), or their names spelled out in gorgeous floral arrangements. I’m sure you can guess which one I went with!

It ended up being a super easy project, and came out exactly how I envisioned it to!

What You’ll Need:

  • Wooden Letters
  • Faux Flowers
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Scissors
Flowers

1. Remove the faux flowers from the stems. Try to get as close to the base of the flower as you can so that they will lay flat and actually stick to your letters. (I would try to get my flowers from a craft store when they are on sale. Or else this project can get pricey)

2. Place a bead of hot glue on the back of the flower where the stem was and place it on your wood letter.

3. Continue placing the flowers on the wood letter with the hot glue as close together as possible, so that you have a very full looking design. You don’t want to see the letter through the flowers.

4. Alternate the flowers so that there are not too many of the same type in one place.

5. Repeat that process until the whole letter is covered.

6. Bonus Step: If the flowers are so thick that you can’t see the outline of the letter, trim them back a little so that you can actually make out the letters.

And voila! Gorgeous nursery decor that you didn’t have to pay an arm and a leg for! Let me know in the comments if there’s anything you DIY’d for your kids room to avoid having to sacrifice a first born for.
