I honestly don’t know how this happened guys. I’ve been bamboozled.

Somehow I ended up with another little human in my belly during a pandemic.

With all the scary stuff aside though, this baby is another blessing and I’m so excited to be able to bring another life into the world.

How I Found Out

One thing about me is that I keep my period on lock, and it runs like clockwork so I know super quick when something is off.

The day this little one was conceived though I was off my game. I could have sworn that I had a week before I was going to be ovulating, so let’s just say I had a good time that night.

The next morning I woke up to check my math and boy was I off. I realized that I’d just did the dirty on one of my most fertile days smh. I still had about another week and a half before my period was supposed to start though so I was just super conscious about my body.

I couldn’t wait anymore though, and about a day before my period I took a pregnancy test. It was kind of faint but definitely seemed positive. I literally looked up every single article on false positives before realizing that wasn’t really a thing.

After taking a second one later that day that immediately turned positive, I just accepted the fact that another one was on the way.

Since I’m on my third baby there wasn’t a huge fanfare with telling my husband or the rest of our family, but everyone was super excited to welcome another little bambino.

My Symptoms So Far

Since I was so on top of my periods, I found out I was pregnant at about 4 weeks, which meant I wasn’t really experiencing very many symptoms.

That changed really quickly though. At around 8-9 weeks pregnant, I got really bad morning sickness. I literally could not hold hardly anything down and was throwing up 1-2 times a day.

During that time, I lost around 5 pounds.

This really crap time was also a huge reason for why I went AWOL for a bit. Morning sickness + Two small children = No bueno.

I was exhausted all the time and couldn’t get anything done.

I also had a little bit of a spotting scare due to a yeast infection that irritated my cervix (super common in pregnant ladies).

Thankfully, at around 13 weeks pregnant, the morning sickness wore off and I was able to start enjoying my life again.

Now, at 16 weeks, my symptoms are limited to tiring out easily, acne, congestion, and round ligament/back pain. I’d take that over morning sickness though any day.

The next major milestone coming up is finding out what this baby’s gender is, which I’m kind of nervous about since I really want a boy. Fingers crossed! 🤞 Can’t wait to keep you guys updated from here on out, and let me know in the comments if you’re pregnant as well and what the worst symptom has been for you!
