WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM START TO FINISH

I. SAY HELLO
It’s so exciting that you’re ready to book your session! Maternity photography sessions are best booked between 29-36 weeks and it all starts with a quick message through my contact form. Once that’s done, I’ll reach out within 24 hours to send the booking proposal with all the details. Within it there will be questionnaires, contracts, and payment information—your session retainer is due at this stage.
II. PREPARATION
Our commitment to making your pregnancy photography experience as special and unique as possible starts with customizing each session around you. From styling, color scheme and posing ideas that best reflect you and your growing family – we can have an in-person or virtual consultation to explore the possibilities.
III. PHOTOSHOOT DAY
It’s time for the big day! Two days before your session, you’ll receive an email with the location of the shoot and my personal phone number in case you need anything day of. If hair and makeup services are chosen, you’ll arrive two hours early to enjoy some time for yourself as we provide the pampering – allowing you to look flawless for your photoshoot.
IV. PHOTO REVEAL
Once your photos are edited and ready to view, you will receive a link to an online gallery where you can view your photos, pick your favorites, and purchase additional products all from the comfort of your own home.
V. PHOTO DELIVERY
We offer a sophisticated digital photo delivery service to ensure you can treasure and share your precious moments with ease.

How far in advance should i book my maternity session?
We highly recommend booking 8-10 weeks in advance to ensure availability. The perfect time to schedule your session is between 29-36 weeks, but don't worry if you're in the early stages of planning. It's never too soon to secure your special date! And if you're dreaming of a weekend session, act quickly! Saturdays are our hot commodity, so the sooner you lock in a date, the more likely you are to have a fabulous weekend photoshoot.
is hair and makeup included?
At the moment, hair and makeup are not included. However, we have a list of vetted amazing artists that can be booked as an add on to your session fee.
where is your studio located?
Our maternity photography studio is conveniently located at 1100 W. Cermak Rd. Chicago, IL 60608. There is plenty of free street parking nearby!
do you provide clothing/props?
I take great pride in providing a comprehensive and all-inclusive experience for my clients. In line with this commitment, clothing and props are indeed included in your session fee.
Please note that the specific clothing options and props may vary based on availability and your desired aesthetic. We will collaborate closely during the pre-session consultation to ensure that the selected items align with your style preferences and create a truly remarkable maternity photography experience.
Can my family be involved in my session?
We love having your family join in the photo session. Typically, we recommend saving family participation for the end of the session. This allows us ample time to capture all your amazing photos, ensure your comfort and familiarity with posing, and create a relaxed atmosphere.
We also understand the importance of patience with children, which is why we recommend having an additional adult present to keep them engaged while you change and capture beautiful couple photos.
I'm super awkward in front of the camera. will you pose me?
I have extensive experience in posing and guiding my clients to capture elegant and artistic images. During your session, I will provide gentle direction and guidance to help you showcase your beauty and radiance. I understand that every expecting mother is unique, and I will work closely with you to find poses that flatter your body and reflect your personal style. Whether you prefer soft and graceful poses or more dramatic and bold ones, I will tailor the poses to your comfort level and vision.
will my images be retouched?
what is the turnaround time?
You will receive your digital proof gallery of unedited photos within one week of your session. At this time you'll be able to choose the photos you would like fully retouched and edited from your photoshoot. Our team will then complete edits of your final images in an impressive 2-3 weeks.
